Alfa Romeo returns to the Villa d’Este

The 6C Villa d'Este limited series by Alfa Romeo in the form of the Stelvio and Giula are proof once again that motoring passion is conclusively an Italian affair.

Any classic car fan would agree: the Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 SS Villa d’Este is the holy grail. Produced in just 36 units, it owes its name to the award it won at the Concorso d’eleganza Villa d’Este in 1949. The video presenting its two descendants, the Giulia and Stelvio 6C Villa d'Este, recently unveiled by Alfa Romeo, opens with a shot of its profile.

The 6C 2500 SS Villa d'Este was one of the last Alfa Romeo models produced with a chassis separate from the bodywork. The 36 units produced were all different from each other, depending on the client’s tastes and the inspiration of the coach builders. Talk about bespoke! Of course the tribute Giulia sedan and the SUV do not claim such special treatment, however, they will only be available in 30 units per version, making them truly exclusive.

In addition to the paint job in the 1949 colour, this limited series features a beige leather interior with 6C Villa d'Este embroidered on the front headrest as well as on the leather dashboard with white stitching. Giulia and Stelvio are also fully equipped in terms of comfort and safety, as you would expect.

The Giulia comes with a 200hp 2.0-litre Turbo petrol engine or a 190hp 2.2-litre Turbo diesel engine, both rear-wheel drive. The Stelvio comes with a 280hp 2.0-litre Turbo petrol engine or a 210hp 2.2-litre Turbo diesel engine, combined with Q4 all-wheel drive and an 8-speed automatic transmission.

Starting from €58,800 for the Giulia sedan and €68,900 for the Stelvio SUV, this 6C Villa d’Este series shouldn't be short of takers. Don't say we don't keep you in the loop!
