Longchamp awakens Paris

Longchamp’s new international brand signature, ‘Très Paris’, is spreading from the United States to China, with no translation necessary. And it is introduced in a charming short film in which French singer Clara Luciani pays homage to Jacques Dutronc and the City of Lights.

In the lead roles of this 8-minute short film, two handbags (Longchamp, of course) are inadvertently swapped in the whirlwind of a Parisian night. It is also about young women who are products of their time, a white kitten, coffee without milk, a literate motorcyclist and an Eiffel Tower imprisoned in a pyramid... With timeless Paris as the backdrop, where anything can happen. Even today.

The Arc de Triomphe, Place Dauphine, Place de la Concorde, Avenue Trudaine, the steps of Montmartre, Café Le Mansart and Les Bains nightclub — an escapade in pursuit of two Roseau handbags. One belonging to Parisienne Mathilde, played by Mathilde Ollivier, and the other to Amber, a young English woman played by Amber Anderson. And a cat, Blanche, hidden in one of the handbags...

Longchamp was established in Paris in 1948. Through Jacques Dutronc’s song Il est 5 heures Paris s’éveille (“It's 5 am, Paris awakens”), the brand wanted to return to its origins, with Clara Luciani’s deep tones. Although born in the Bouches-du-Rhône, the 28-year-old singer explains that she spent “19 years in gestation before being born in Paris!” Which are her favourite neighbourhoods? “It depends on the day and on my mood”, explains Clara. “But maybe the 18th and the 9th, probably because I spend so much time there for work. Sometimes I venture over to the Left Bank for a wander around the Jardin du Luxembourg and to drink hot chocolate at Angelina, near the Musée du Sénat.

And because Paris will always be Paris, SoBARNES presents the trailer of this inspired film:
