With its slim profile and its built-in recessed handle, it can easily be moved from room to room, stood upright on a kitchen counter, laid flat on a table or hung on a wall while charging (via an aluminium magnetic plug, that is to say wirelessly). Bang & Olufsen has announced that the company has introduced new solutions to fight technology obsolescence, enhance resource efficiency and improve the longevity of its products: Beosound Level has therefore been modularly designed for easy maintenance, service, and repair. Users can even perform simple operations themselves, like replacing the battery, while service partners can –if needed– easily access vital parts of the speaker. The result is that this future-proofed speaker can be updated “to the latest technology standards to deliver decades of great sound experiences”, according to B&O. Could that be the new definition of luxury?
