A seaside resort in the northwest of Sardinia, Porto Cervo is a top destination for the international jet set. Created in the 60s by Prince Karim Aga Khan IV who wanted to build a haven for an upscale clientèle, the marina and small fishing port have seen their popularity grow from the start, and the luxury facilities and infrastructure - prestigious hotels, golf courses, villas, high-end boutiques - have not detracted from the village’s authenticity. A dream setting of turquoise waters, expansive bays and a string of golden sandy beaches.
The real estate market
The real estate market is exclusive and discreet. Prices have risen by around 20% in the past three years. Porto Cervo is divided into various zones each with their own characteristics: Romazzino and Cala di Volpe are popular for their proximity to the sea and services, Miata and Pantogia, sheltered by the hills, are ideal for those who enjoy the peace and quiet of the unspoilt nature, while Pevero, La Celvia and Liscia di Vacca are more mixed.
Our advice
“Demand is high and sales take time. We’re here to guide you”.
The secret of Porto Cervo :
“Buying on the seafront is a guaranteed lasting and reliable investment. It will bring good rental returns, and generate a profit when you decide to sell.
Close to the sea and the centre of Porto, Romazzino and Cala di Volpe are the sectors I would recommend. Costa Smeralda is also one to explore more generally.— Domenico Bracale, director of BARNES Porto Cervo.
