For over 100 years, in the very chic South of Fifth district (SoFi) on the notorious South Beach, the restaurant has been a success! Frank Sinatra and Al Capone (under the name of Mr. Brown) were loyal customers at the time. Today, it's not unusual to come across Ricky Martin, Enrique Iglesias, and Kanye West on the guest list. A little tip: Patience will come in handy because, since there is a no reservation policy, you'll find yourself eagerly waiting for a table. When your table is ready, the MC of the reception hall will call your name on the loud speaker. Wait around the central bar, enjoy the restaurant's lively atmosphere. We'll let you in on a secret: There is a way around waiting, but you'll have to write us a little note to find out.

You'll find steak on the menu, but the main reason we go to Joe's is for the Rock Crab, straight from the breeding house. Size medium, large, or jumbo, it's up to you! Just don't forget a side of Joe's famous signature mustard sauce.

As for the decor, the restaurant is chic and casual at the same time. But, even though the beach is 2 blocks away, no beach wear, please. Waiters are dressed very elegant and covered in big, long aprons. Late for a movie or just want to pick up and run? No problem. Joe's Take Away is the perfect solution.

Like the Eiffel Tower in Paris, Joe's Stone Crab is a must in Miami, so make sure to mark crab season on your calendars: October 15th to May 15th.
