But still, we had no idea what such a union could create \u2026<\/h5>\n<p>At <strong>El Almacen<\/strong>, the decor reflects the restaurant's name, \u201cthe general store\u201d in English, with a <strong>vintage Argentinian ambiance<\/strong> that blends seamlessly with the <strong>trendy restaurants of Williamsburg<\/strong>. Cue:\u00a0chalkboard menu, <strong>antique front counter<\/strong>, and complete wooden interior lit by candles. This time, the hipsters got it right, because its meat-centric dishes are absolutely authentic, straight from the\u00a0<em>pampas<\/em>\u00a0to the concrete jungle, attracting homesick\u00a0<em>porte\u00f1os\u00a0<\/em>and food critics alike.<\/p>\n<p>In standard\u00a0<strong>Latin-style<\/strong>, everyone who enters becomes family and everything on the menu is to share. Start with one of the delicious platters and small plates:\u00a0<em>fiambres y quesos<\/em>\u00a0with prosciutto, salame de campo, capicola,\u00a0ceviche<em> de hamachi<\/em>\u00a0drizzled with truffle oil; not to mention the\u00a0signature avocado fries. Transformative.<\/p>\n<p>We hope you left some room for the main event: Steak\u00a0<em>de la parrilla, <\/em>a\u00a0grass-fed South American beefsteak; or the\u00a0<em>entra\u00f1a<\/em>, a tender, savory skirt steak served on a varnished wood stump with sea salt, shishito peppers, and an exquisite side of classic chimichurri. All the hype will be confirmed with the\u00a0first bite, an explosion of divine flavors that shocks, then delights.<\/p>\n<p>Who knew that <strong>Buenos Aires<\/strong> and <strong>Brooklyn<\/strong>\u00a0would have so much chemistry \u2026 <strong>The Michelin Guide<\/strong> did, and so did <strong>NYMag, Village Voice<\/strong>, and subsequently <strong>Madonna<\/strong>?
