The emergence of home office working and the phenomenon of semi-primary residences have brought a new client\u00e8le to the property market in La Baule. Buyers wanting to preserve historic villas, which just so happen to be one of the passions of Etienne de Gibon, Director of BARNES La Baule<\/u><\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cWhile demand has doubled between the first half of 2020 and 2021, mostly stemming from French buyers living in France and expatriates, supply has become much scarcer\u201d, <\/em>says Etienne de Gibon. <\/em>\u201cThe result is that property in La Baule has increased in value<\/em>\u201d. In other words, La Baule is a coveted market, and while this is nothing new, the trend has risen sharply in light of the past 18\u00a0months. Beyond the classic sea-view apartments in the Casino area or close to Benoit beach, BARNES has observed a growth in demand for historic villas in need of renovation. \u201cAs these properties are rare, and for the most part listed as Exceptional or Remarkable Heritage of La Baule, it is not uncommon to wait several years before finding the holy grail<\/em>\u201d, Etienne de Gibon adds.<\/p>\n\n\t\t
