The 47th<\/sup> Festival du cin\u00e9ma am\u00e9ricain de Deauville<\/a>, held from 3 to 12 September, is kicking off the cultural calendar with over 70 film screenings. SoBARNES walks you down the red carpet.<\/h4>\n

Through pandemics and high water, the Festival du cin\u00e9ma am\u00e9ricain, created in Deauville in 1975, has maintained its course with the aim of strengthening the ties between the two founding nations of the 7th<\/sup> Art. And the 2021 edition is all the more salient as the cultural scene struggles to pick up. It will be welcoming the public in person (thank goodness!) in accordance with the health regulations in force - all the more reason to take a look at the official Made in USA selection:<\/p>\n

This selection, which according to the festival\u2019s organisers \u201cconveys today\u2019s convulsions and the legitimate and growing anxiety of filmmakers<\/em>\u201d, is composed of \u201claughter, fear, violence, voyeurism and sometimes noble sentiments, all translating the emotions of our current times<\/em>\u201d. Quite a line-up!<\/p>\n
