More than a hotel, Crillon Le Brave is the heart and soul of the village it takes its name from. This 5-star hide-away facing Mont Ventoux is one of Provence’s best kept secrets. And we couldn't be more pleased to hear it will be reopening on 13 May!

The story of this atypical hotel is rich in Provençal tradition, but it all came about almost by chance some 30 years ago. In the summer of 1988, the English-Canadian couple Peter and Carolyn Chittick were on the hunt for a property to convert into a hotel. It was a case of love at first sight when they came across a large house in the village of Crillon-le-Brave (Vaucluse) at the foot of the Dentelles de Montmirail and Mont Ventoux, which they transformed into a hotel with 11 guest rooms. Over the years, the hotel expanded to 34 rooms and suites, creating a delightful hamlet at the top of the village. Spread across nine 17th and 18th century buildings, the hotel’s rooms are connected by bridges, passages and discreet courtyards... Each house has its own charm and unique character, reflecting the richness of the village’s history.
