When you think about a long-distance road trip along routes that have barely been mapped, Lamborghini is probably not the first car manufacturer that comes to mind. And yet... The Urus SUV, produced in Sant’Agata Bolognese, has recently taken on the roads, passes and tracks of Karelia, in northwest Russia. Get ready for thrills and chills!

Launched in 2018, the Urus is Lamborghini’s answer to the Porsche Cayenne and Bentley Bentayga. The ultimate SUV, with a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine producing 650 CV allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 62mph (100km/h) in 3.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 190mph (305 km/h). All at a level of comfort that is more than acceptable for 4 people with luggage. In order to prove that its 6 driving modes (STRADA, SPORT, CORSA, NEVE, TERRA and SABBIA) enable it to take on any terrain, including treacherous ice, the Bologna-based firm decided to send the Urus to Karelia, a Republic of the Russian Federation, set between the north of Russia and Finland.

Buckle up, the journey starts and ends on the new Igora Drive circuit, near St Petersburg:
