SoBARNES is delighted to offer you a sneak preview of the goings-on behind closed doors at Arte, THE residence that everyone in Miami is talking about but which only a happy few have been able to visit. And just because it’s you, you can also check out the inside of one of the few apartments for sale here.

Adam Redolfi of the BARNES Miami office has been surveying the most luxurious villas, the best located apartments and the craziest penthouses the city has to offer for over a decade. Needless to say, it takes a lot to impress him, yet he still goes all starry-eyed when he talks about Arte! Firstly, because we are in Surfside, north of Miami Beach, alongside the most exclusive section of the beach between Bal Harbour and Indian Creek. It doesn't get any better than this. Secondly, because the Arte residence really is in a league of its own, designed by Italian designer Antonio Citterio as his first project in the United States: “The building is designed around a Mediterranean way of life”, the architect explains. “Family life moves freely from interior to exterior. Being able to enjoy a meal outdoors with friends, enjoying the sounds and smell of the ocean—this was essential.” That says it all.

Imagine a 12-storey building facing the ocean, housing 16 apartments bathed in light and with terraces that have already been recognised as the most elegant in Florida. It's impossible to describe the quality of the fittings and finishes that Arte offers, but suffice to say that your standard luxury hotel would pale in comparison. If you still need convincing, what is we told you that the 7,681 sq ft triplex penthouse has just been sold to a New York financier for a mere $33M, setting a new record for the highest price per square foot in Surfside?
