In the series of unexpected partnerships that leave the mouth watering, the legendary Kulm Hotel in Saint-Moritz is welcoming the most talented chef of his generation, Mauro Colagreco.

SAINT-MORITZ -

The venerable Kulm, the first hotel built in Saint-Moritz in 1856, is preparing the welcome party for three-Michelin starred chef Mauro Colagreco, voted world’s best chef by his peers and whose restaurant Mirazur in Menton ranks top of the list of the World’s 50 Best Restaurants.

Mauro Colagreco will be taking over the kitchen in the Engadin as of 15 December, bringing with him his culinary philosophy based on freshness, simplicity, balance of colour and bringing out the true flavour of the ingredients. This superstar chef, born in 1976 in Argentina to an Italian family, attended culinary school in La Rochelle before training with the greats, Bernard Loiseau, Alain Passard, Alain Ducasse and Guy Martin. He has retained the rigour of these masters while imposing a style of his own, particularly in the interpretation of ingredients. In 2006, he decided to open his own restaurant, Mirazur, in Menton (Alpes-Maritimes, France). One year later, he received his first Michelin star, before being named ‘Chef of the Year’ by Gault et Millau in 2009. In 2019, Mirazur received three Michelin stars and came top of the rankings for the World’s 50 Best Restaurants.
