How to consistently up performance? It took the engineers and designers at Rolls-Royce a number of years to create the ‘little’ sister (or more like ‘big’ sister!) to the Ghost, launched in 2009. “The only components that we carried over from the first Goodwood Ghost were the Spirit of Ecstasy and umbrellas”, says Torsten Müller-Ötvös, the brand’s CEO.

It would be in bad taste to cloud the first official photos unveiled by Rolls-Royce with mundane technical details. So instead we’ll get straight to the point: the new Ghost boasts all-wheel drive and all-wheel steering and a 6.75-litre twin-turbo V12 engine, delivering 571PS and 850nm, is slightly longer at 5.47m and 1.80m wide, and its 8-speed automatic gearbox comes complete with satellite-aided transmission (!).
