Wild, authentic, impassive, delicious, breathtaking, unexpected and exciting. Corsica is all that, and more. From north to south, here are six places for enjoying everything the island has to offer.
The hotel La Roya is a chic spot neighbouring the Patrimonio vineyards in Saint-Florent. Overlooking the turquoise sea and nestled in a garden filled with the scents of rose and lavender, the hotel offers its guests a proudly local, creative and poetic cuisine. A little further on, the hotel La Villa boasts stunning panoramic views over the sea and the Calvi Citadel. The elegant La Signoria is another exceptional establishment. This 18th-century residence is located near the hilltop villages of Balagne, and offers rooms furnished with tasteful antiques.
To the south
Just a stone’s throw from the immaculate, white sandy beaches and the imposing mountains of Porto-Vecchio, the Grand Hôtel de Cala Rossa, and its Clarins spa, is the true embodiment of sophistication. Le Belvédère is another unmissable, elegant establishment, hidden in the pine forests on the edge of the Porto-Vecchio golf course. And finally, for really letting your hair down, the hotel Don César and its Nuxe spa has everything you need. Its infinity pool and the views of the sailboat-speckled sea are just spectacular.
